The Copper Beech is easily identified by its striking wine red or deep purple leaves.

They were largely planted during the 19th century as part of the estates’s formal landscaping, chosen for their dramatic colour contrast against the green of the native oaks and limes.

This tree is located next to the zip wire known as the ‘flying fox’.
